1. Privacy At A Glance

The short version. The sections that follow give the full detail.

  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • The street address of an estate sale stays hidden until shortly before the sale, and is hidden again when it ends.
  • Card details go straight to our payment provider, Stripe. They never touch our servers.
  • Signing in with Google and connecting a social media account are optional, do only what you approve, and can be disconnected at any time.
  • You can see, correct or delete your information, and you can delete your account yourself at any time.
  • You can reach a real person about privacy at support@estatesalesin.com.

2. Who We Are And What This Covers

EstateSalesIN.com (“EstateSalesIN,” “we,” “us”) is owned and operated by Narralife LLC, its parent company, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Narralife LLC is the business responsible for your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collectwhen you use estatesalesin.com, app.estatesalesin.com and any related mobile app or service (together, the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies to everyone who uses the Service: shoppers and bidders, people looking to hire an estate sale company, estate sale companies and auctioneers, and visitors who never create an account. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms Of Service.

3. Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

  • Account details. Your name, email address and, if you set one, a password (stored only as a one-way hash). You may also add a profile photo, phone number and mailing address.
  • Company information. If you list a business: company name, description, logo and banner, contact details, service areas, specialties, social links, licenses or certifications, and documents you submit for verification.
  • Listings and media. Estate sales, auction lots and marketplace listings you create, including dates, the sale address, descriptions, prices and photos.
  • Consultation requests. The property address, property type and size, a description of the contents and any photos, your goals and timing, your role (for example executor or family member), your contact details and preferred way to be reached, and any accessibility or language needs you choose to tell us.
  • Messages and inquiries. Messages you send to companies, sellers or buyers through the Service, and inquiries you submit on a company’s page.
  • Bids, offers and purchases. Bids and maximum bids, offers, watchlists, orders, and pickup or shipping details.
  • Reviews and community content. Reviews, ratings, comments, likes, blog posts and reports you submit.
  • Preferences. Saved sales, liked companies and notification settings, including a city and radius you choose for nearby-sale alerts.
  • Companies may give us the names of people whose items are being sold, which we use only for auction integrity review.

For auctions, we keep a record of bidding activity. We also keep a scrambled, non-reversible form of network and browser information to help prevent bidding fraud. We do not sell it, and we do not show it to other users. When you open a lot page, we storea random visitor id in a cookie on this site and count that visit once a day. We do not store your IP address or browser for that count.

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Sign-in history. Each successful sign-in records the date and time, sign-in method, IP address, an approximate city, state and country derived from that IP address, and your device and browser type. You can see this history in your account.
  • Usage and device data. Pages requested, IP address, browser type and similar server log data, used to run and secure the Service.
  • Company page views. When a company profile is viewed we record the visit and its approximate location (from the IP address) so companies can see aggregate statistics about their audience.
  • Abuse-prevention signals. We keep salted, hashed versions of IP addresses on inquiry and request forms to limit spam, and use a security challenge to tell people from automated traffic.
  • Location. If you choose “Find Sales Near You” and allow it in your browser, we use your device’s location to show nearby sales. You can decline and search by city or ZIP code instead.
  • Push notification token. If you enable notifications in a mobile app, we store the device token needed to deliver them.

Information From Other Sources

  • Google. If you sign in with Google, we receive the information described in the next section.
  • Social media platforms. If a company connects a social media account, we receive the information described in the Connected Social Media Accounts section.
  • Payment provider. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded, was refunded or disputed, and the status of a seller’s payout account. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
  • Mapping providers. When an address is entered, a geocoding service returns its coordinates and standardized form.

4. Sign In With Google And Google User Data

Signing in with Google is optional. When you use it, Google shares the following with us, depending on what you approve on Google’s consent screen:

  • Basic profile. Your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier. We use these to create your account and sign you in.
  • Phone number and postal address (optional). Where enabled and approved by you, we read the phone numbers and addresses saved in your Google account one time at sign-in, and only to pre-fill empty fields in your EstateSalesIN profile so you do not have to type them. We never overwrite details you have already entered.

How we handle Google user data:

  • We use it only to provide and improve features you can see in the Service: signing you in and completing your profile and contact details.
  • We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising, retargeting or to build advertising profiles.
  • We do not use it to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
  • We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the Service (for example, showing your contact details to a company you have asked to contact you), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
  • Our staff do not read it except with your permission, for security or abuse investigations, to comply with law, or when it has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
  • The copied phone number and address are stored in your profile, where you can edit or remove them at any time. We do not retain a separate copy.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke EstateSalesIN’s access at any time from your Google account’s security settings under third-party connections.

5. Connected Social Media Accounts

Where this feature is available, a company can connect a social media account, such as a Facebook Page or an Instagram professional account, so that a sale it publishes on EstateSalesIN is also posted to that account. Connecting is optional and is done bysigning in on the platform’s own screen. We never see or store your social media password.

What We Receive

  • Your name and account identifier on that platform, so we know which account was connected.
  • The names and identifiers of the Pages or business accounts you manage and choose to connect.
  • An access token, which is a digital key the platform issues that lets us post to the Page or account you chose. We store it encrypted.
  • For each post we publish for you, its identifier and web address, so we can show you that it was posted and link to it.

What We Do With It

  • Publish posts about your own sales and auctions to the Page or account you connected, using the sale details and photos you entered on EstateSalesIN.
  • Show you which account is connected, whether each post succeeded, and tell you if the connection needs to be renewed.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not post anything other than your own sale and auction content, and only while posting is switched on.
  • We do not read your private messages, friends, followers, or the personal profiles of people who interact with your posts.
  • We do not sell information received from a social media platform, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence models.
  • We do not share it with anyone except the service providers that host our systems, or where the law requires.

Disconnecting And Deleting

  • You can disconnect a social media account at any time from your company dashboard. You can also remove EstateSalesIN from that platform's own settings, for example under Business Integrations in your Facebook settings.
  • When you disconnect an account or delete your EstateSalesIN account, we delete the stored access token and the connection details.
  • Posts already published remain on the social media platform until you delete them there. They are governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy.
  • To ask us to delete information we received from a social media platform, follow the steps on the Delete Your Account page or email support@estatesalesin.com. We will confirm when it is done.

6. How We Use Information

  • Create and secure your account, including one-time sign-in codes sent by email.
  • Publish and display estate sales, auctions, marketplace listings and company profiles.
  • Post a company's sales to a social media account it has connected, when it has switched that on.
  • Show you sales, auctions and companies near a location you choose.
  • Deliver consultation requests and inquiries to the companies involved, and carry messages between you and them.
  • Run auctions and sales: record bids, determine winners, process payments, fees, refunds and payouts.
  • Send transactional emails and notifications, such as sign-in codes, bid and order updates and changes to sales you saved. Messages between members are delivered inside the Service and are not emailed.
  • Verify companies and display trust indicators.
  • Give companies aggregate statistics about views and engagement.
  • Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, spam, shill bidding, policy violations and security incidents, and moderate reviews and other content.
  • After an auction ends we review its bidding for signs that someone connected to the company bid on its items. Automated indicators point our staff to activity worth reviewing. A person makes every decision to restrict an account.
  • Maintain an audit trail of administrative actions.
  • Fix problems, analyze how the Service is used and improve it.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

7. Sale Addresses And Property Privacy

Estate sales happen at real homes, so we treat street addresses with extra care.

  • Sale addresses are withheld until shortly before the sale. Until the reveal time set by the company (by default, the morning of the day before the sale starts), public pages show only the city and an approximate area on the map. The street address is hidden again after the sale ends.
  • Consultation request addresses are shared deliberately. The exact property address in your request is visible only to companies you are matched with or grant access to, and to our staff. Others see at most an approximate area.
  • Your profile address is not public. A mailing address saved in your profile is used to pre-fill forms and orders and is not shown on public pages.

8. What Is Public

The following is visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines:

  • Company profiles, including business contact details the company chooses to publish.
  • Sale, auction and marketplace listings and their photos (subject to the address rules above).
  • Reviews, ratings, comments and blog posts, shown with the display name of the person who posted them.
  • Bid history on auction lots, where each bidder is shown by a bidder number only, never by name.
  • While bidding is open, the company and other bidders see only a bidder number. Integrity reviews, indicators and case notes are visible only to our staff.

Please do not include personal information in public listings, photos or reviews that you would not want others to see. Check photos for mail, documents, family pictures or anything else that could identify people who have not agreed to be shown.

9. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as follows:

With Other Users, At Your Direction

  • When you send an inquiry or a consultation request, the company receives the details you provided, including your contact information.
  • When you buy or win an item, the seller receives what they need to complete the sale: your name, contact details and pickup or shipping information.
  • When you message someone, they see your message and display name.
  • When a company connects a social media account and publishes a sale, the sale details and photos in the post are sent to that platform.

With Service Providers

These companies process information for us under their own terms and privacy policies:

  • Stripe — payments, seller payout accounts and identity checks required for payouts.
  • Google — sign-in, address search, geocoding and maps.
  • OpenStreetMap — map imagery.
  • Resend — delivery of email we send you.
  • Cloudflare — network security, bot protection and email routing.
  • Render and Neon — application hosting and database.
  • Backblaze — storage of photos and uploaded files.
  • ip-api.com — converting an IP address to an approximate city and region.
  • Expo — delivery of mobile push notifications.

For Legal And Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law or a valid legal request, to enforce our terms, to investigate fraud or auction manipulation, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the publicor EstateSalesIN.

In A Business Transfer

If EstateSalesIN is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

10. Cookies And Similar Technologies

We keep this short because we use very few:

  • Sign-in cookie. Keeps you signed in across estatesalesin.com and app.estatesalesin.com. It is essential; without it you cannot stay signed in.
  • Temporary sign-in cookies. Short-lived cookies used during sign-in with Google to protect against forgery and return you to the page you were on.
  • Browser storage. Your browser stores a private access key for a consultation request you started, so you can return to it.
  • Security challenge. Cloudflare may set a cookie to confirm you are not an automated program.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. Embedded maps load content from our mapping providers, which receive your IP address when they do. Because we do not track you across other websites, the Service does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

11. How Long We Keep Information

We keep information for as long as your account is open and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, your personal information is deleted immediately, and stored photos and files are removed shortly after. A few records are kept without your name, email address or other personal details attached:

  • Bid, order, payment and dispute records, which we keep to preserve an accurate auction history and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements.
  • Records needed to prevent fraud or abuse, or to enforce a suspension.
  • Administrative audit logs.
  • Information we are required by law to retain.

Reviews, ratings and messages you wrote are deleted with your account. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

12. How We Protect Information

We use safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, hashed one-time codes and access tokens, role-based access for staff with an audit log of administrative actions, rate limiting, and validation ofuploaded files. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our servers.

No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password, and tell us right away at support@estatesalesin.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

13. Your Choices And Controls

  • Review and update. Edit your name, photo, phone, address and company details from your account or dashboard.
  • Notifications. Turn sale-update notifications and nearby-sale alerts on or off in your account. Emails needed to run your account, such as sign-in codes and order updates, cannot be switched off while the account is open.
  • Location. Allow or block location access in your browser or device settings at any time.
  • Google. Disconnect EstateSalesIN from your Google account’s security settings.
  • Social media. Disconnect a connected social media account, or switch automatic posting off, from your company dashboard.
  • Delete your account. Choose Delete My Account in your account settings, on the website or in the app, to permanently delete your account and personal information right away. The Delete Your Account page lists exactly what is deleted and what is kept. If you cannot sign in, email support@estatesalesin.com and we will do it for you.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. Several U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Nevada, provide rights of this kind. We extend these choices to everyone who uses the Service, wherever you live.

What You Can Ask For

  • Know and access. Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct. Ask us to fix information that is wrong. You can change most of it yourself in your account.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to the limited records described under How Long We Keep Information.
  • A portable copy. Ask for your information in a commonly used electronic format.
  • Opt out. You have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do neither.

Categories Of Information

In the past twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described earlier in this policy, and disclosed them only to the service providers and other recipients listed under How WeShare Information:

  • Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, IP address and account identifiers.
  • Commercial information, such as bids, offers, orders and membership status.
  • Internet activity, such as sign-in history, pages requested and device and browser type.
  • Location information, such as an approximate location derived from an IP address and, only if you allow it, your device's location.
  • Photos and other content you upload, and messages you send through the Service.
  • Business information you provide about a company, including documents submitted for verification.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, health information or precise location history. Anything of that kind you choose to include in a request or message is used only to respond to you.

How To Use Your Rights

  • How to ask. Email support@estatesalesin.com. We will verify the request using the email address on your account and respond within the time the law allows, generally 45 days.
  • Authorized agents. You may have someone make a request for you; we will ask for proof that they are authorized.
  • No retaliation. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
  • Appeals. If we decline a request, you can reply to ask us to reconsider.
  • Sale of information. We do not sell personal information, including the “covered information” described in Nevada law, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may still send an opt-out request to the address above and we will record it.

15. If Your Home Or Belongings Appear Here

Listings are created by estate sale companies, and they sometimes show homes and belongings of people who have never used EstateSalesIN. If you are the owner, a family member, or the personal representative of an estate and you believe a listing shows a property, a photo or personal details that should not be public, you do not need an account to ask for help.

  • Email support@estatesalesin.com with the address of the page and what concerns you.
  • We will review the request promptly and, where appropriate, remove the material or ask the company to correct the listing.
  • We may need to confirm your connection to the property before acting, to protect the family and the home.

16. Links To Other Websites

Company profiles and listings may link to a company’s own website, social media pages and other sites we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not cover those sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave EstateSalesIN, so please read them before giving those sites your information.

17. Children

The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, bid, buy or sell. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@estatesalesin.com and we will delete it.

18. Where Information Is Processed

EstateSalesIN is operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. Information is stored and processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate. If you use the Service from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

19. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the Service before it takes effect.
